‘The darker garden’ is a body of work produced in Vanuatu while I was artist in residence at the Suzzane Bastien Foundation in April-May 2019.
My intention was an ethnographic exploration of sorts; a way to trace my heritage, history and relationship to Vanuatu and Australia through my arts practice.
